TOWN OF HENRIETTA ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ZONING BOARD VACANCY
Per the Hiring Procedure approved by the Town Board, the Town of Henrietta is accepting applications for an upcoming vacancy on the Zoning Board of Appeals. A vacancy will exist as of January 1, 2014 because current Zoning Board member Ken Breese will become a member of the Town Board.
The Zoning Board hears appeals, which are requests for variances from the Town Code. Examples of types of requests they consider are: reduction in setbacks for new buildings, homes and additions as well as sheds; fence height and location; parking space reduction and sign variances for commercial properties.
The Zoning Board meets in the evening on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Meetings are held in the Main Meeting Room at the Town Hall. The 2014 salary for a Zoning Board member is $2,340 per year.

Town Code Changes
Changes to the Town Code are now in effect that were enacted upon the recommendation of the Code Update Committee after Public Hearings on the proposed changes.
The changes prohibit parking on the grass in residential areas and restrict driveway expansions.
