Property Tax Exemptions & Forms

If you own a home, it is your primary residence, and your 2010 income is less than $500,000, you may be eligible for the STAR school property tax exemption. Download the forms here, and mail us a signed copy with proof of residency.  A valid NYS Driver License with your current address is the best way to verify residency (the white sticker on the back of your license issued from DMV will work as well).  Please contact us for other ways to prove residency.

All exemption forms must be returned with all appropriate documentation no later than March 1, 2012. 

This exemption is for persons 65 or older and whose total household income for 2010 is below $79,050.  All applications are due by March 1, 2012.

A senior citizen eligible for the enhanced STAR exemption may use this form to participate in the automatic Income Verification Program. Download the form here, and submit a signed copy to the Assessment Office anytime, and your qualifying income can be verified automatically through the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance.

The Final Assessment Roll for the Town of Henrietta is now available online.  This document is the basis for School District taxes levied in September, 2011 and Town/County taxes and Special District charges levied in January, 2012.
