The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation requires that specified municipalities that own or operate separate storm sewer systems implement a program to reduce the discharge of pollutants in order to protect water quality. Monroe County, the City of Rochester, SUNY Brockport, and the Towns of Brighton, Chili, Clarkson, Gates, Greece, Henrietta, Irondequoit, Mendon, Ogden, Parma, Penfield, Perinton, Pittsford, Sweden, and Webster, as well as the Villages of Brockport, East Rochester, Fairport, Hilton, Pittsford, Spencerport, and Webster have developed a shared annual report that documents their program. The report may be viewed at the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services office at 444 E. Henrietta Rd., Bldg. 15, Rochester, NY or at www.thestormwatercoalition.org. Comments may be submitted to tstevenson@monroecounty.gov until June 1, 2010.
