Hansen Nature Center
In 1991, John and Carol Aldridge donated 68 acres of the Tinker Family’s farm to the Town of Henrietta. This land was developed as the Town’s nature park. The Tinker Nature Park is open from dawn to dusk. Admission is free.
In 1994, Henry Hansen made possible the purchase of a log cabin building which became the Hansen Nature Center. In 1998, he provided funds for an addition which more than doubled the Nature Center’s size. The Hansen Nature Center is open Tues.- Sat., 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Also located at the Tinker Nature Park is the Tinker Homestead and Farm Museum. The museum depicts Tinker family life at the end of the 19th century. Guided tours are available.
