WANTED: Empty Printer Cartridges and Cell Phones

The Hansen Nature Center located within the Tinker Nature Park is now collecting used ink cartridges and cell phones for recycling. They can be dropped off in the receptacle in the Hansen Nature Center at 1525 Calkins Road. All funds raised from the recycling program will go to support the fine educational programs and events held in the park.

Did you know...

Every second 3 printer cartridges are thrown away. The plastic in these cartridges NEVER decompose and release harmful toxins into our environment.

2.5 Ounces of Oil is used to produce each inkjet cartridge and 3.5 Quarts of Oil is used to produce each laser cartridge. In a couple months, cartridge remanufacturing will save more oil than was spilled by the Exxon Valdez in Prince Edward Sound, Alaska.

Help the Hansen Nature Center while helping the environment.
