RESIDENTIAL SEWER BILLING

NONRESIDENTIAL SEWER BILLING

All Nonresidential users within the Town of Henrietta are charged sewer rents which are billed quarterly separate from the Town & County tax bill.  The sewer rents are user fees to support the Henrietta Sewer District No. 1 and its extensions in the Town of Henrietta, pursuant to the authority of the Sewer Rent Law of the State of New York (Chapter 765 of the Laws of 1951), and any and all amendments.  These fees allow the Town of Henrietta to fund the maintenance and upkeep of the Henrietta Sewer lines.

Billing Information

All nonresidential sewer bills are mailed quarterly.  Any unpaid sewer rents as of August 25th of each year will be transferred to the following year’s Combined Town & County tax bill as a tax lien.

Payment Information

    Create customer account here using the code located on your bill to use this feature.  Both credit/debit card and ACH transfer payments are accepted.
    • Credit/Debit Card Payments: There is a 2.79% fee that will process as a separate transaction going directly to the credit card processor.
    • ACH Transfer Payments: There is a maximum check amount of $10,000.00, however you can submit multiple check payments for bills that exceed that value. In order to sign up to the use the ACH transfer payment       method you must complete the   pdf ACH Authorization Form (16 KB)  and send it to us along with a voided check to keep on file as authorization for the Town to process ACH payments.  You can email the Authorization form and voided check to jmiranda@henrietta.org.
  • Pay in Person
    The Town Clerk’s Office is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  We are able to accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards for payment.  Please note that there is a 2.4% service fee or a minimum of $1.50 service fee for credit and debit card payments.  This service fee is charged by the payment processor, not by the Town of Henrietta.
  • Mail in your payment
    To pay by mail, use the payment envelope enclosed with your sewer bill and include the top payment stub.  Checks or money orders should be made payable to “Town of Henrietta” and mailed to the following address:

 Commercial Bill Calculations

All consumption amounts are acquired from Monroe County Water Authority.  Fees are determined based on the consumption amount as follows and are reviewed annually by the Town Board:

  • Consumption equal to or less than 15,000 gallons per quarter: $19.31
  • Consumption more than 15,000 gallons per quarter: $1.287 / 1,000 gallons

For example:

  • A consumption amount of 10,000 gallons, the bill will only have a “Base Charge” in the amount of $19.31.
  • A consumption amount of 35,000 gallons the bill will have a “Base Charge” of $19.31 plus an “Overage Charge” for the remaining 20,000 gallons in the amount of $25.74 for a total bill amount of $45.05.

Apartment Bill Calculations

Fees are reviewed annually by the Town Board and are calculated as follows:

  • Number of rentable units multiplied by the residential sewer rent rate

WATER BILLS

Water bills cannot be paid at the Town Hall.  The Town of Henrietta signed a forty (40) year Lease Agreement with the Monroe County Water Authority (MCWA) in July 2002.  The MCWA now issues the bills to Henrietta residents and also collects the payments.  A complete listing of your payment options is located on the back of the MCWA bill.  For more information, please contact the MCWA directly at (585) 442-7200 or visit the Monroe County Water Authority website.
