2017 ABB Scholarship Application Now Available

The Board of Directors of the Antoinette Brown Blackwell Society is pleased to announce that two scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each will be awarded in the spring of 2017.  These scholarships are given in honor of Antoinette Brown Blackwell, the first ordained woman minister in the United States.  Antoinette was born and raised in Henrietta.

High school students, college students and students returning to college who reside within the Rush-Henrietta School District boundaries are eligible to apply.  Applicants must be planning to attend an institution of higher learning on a full or part-time basis.  Application information is available by pdf clicking here (26 KB)  for download.  You will find the details of the application procedure, including a brief biography of Antoinette Brown Blackwell.  All applications must be received no later than 4 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2017.  If you have any questions, please contact Anita Hawkins at 359-2897.
