Welcome to the Henrietta Senior Center!

Lunch Club Program   

The Lunch Club  Program is administered by the Monroe County Office for the Aging and is designed to help our community's older residents and visitors enjoy better health through improved nutrition. The Lunch Club Program is a congregate meal program for persons with 60 or more years of wisdom, their spouse of any age, or their adult disabled child of any age when accompanied by the person 60+. 

Created in 1972 as part of the Older Americans Act and is designed to help the older person enjoy better health through improved nutrition. No eligible person shall be denied benefits or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving any Federal, State or County funding. This includes but is not limited to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran and/or military status, immigration status, creed, domestic violence victim status, criminal history, gender identity, genetic predisposition or carrier status.

We are offering inside dining and Grab N Go meals. Lunch served on Mondays,Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Reservations required. Please honor your reservation.$3.50 contribution appreciated. 

This program receives its funding through participants contributions, U.S. Administration on Aging, N.Y. State Office for the Aging, N.Y. State Department of Health, and Monroe County Office for the Aging.

Staying active:  

Young at Heart Fitness classes, low-impact aerobics, yoga, stretching class, walking group, arthritis classes, balance classes and Tinker Treks(hiking group).

Also offering  cards, Game time, Billiards and Mahjongg and BINGO!

We have 3 computers and a lending library of DVD's available for use.

Many services are provided from our center; information and referral for legal & financial matters, transportation difficulties, housing availability, and health service & counseling.

We have on-site assistance with tax preparation, Medicare forms, and the Home Energy Assistance Program.  In addition, there are fitness & exercise programs, health & nutrition counseling, home security information and a lending library. There are recreation and social programs, as well as travel days, cards, dancing, and celebrations.  We also offer Defensive Driving classes.  Transportation to and from our Center can be arranged.

​​​​​​​Absolutely! We serve lunches Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at noon and any Monroe County resident 60 or older is welcome. Reservations are required and can be made in person or over the phone by calling (585) 334-4030. Suggested donation: $3.50. Grab-N-Go meals are also available, but be sure to specify if you prefer this option.

Senior Center

​​​​​We have a few walkers, canes, and wheelchairs to loan. Otherwise, you can contact the Rush Lions Loan Closet at 585-533-1312.

Yes! A variety of Day and Overnight trips are available. Be sure to check the Activities Book at the Center often for up-to-date trip listings. Henrietta residents register first and non-residents can sign up the following week.

A registration with basic information will need to be filled out. Afterwards, you are welcome to come at any time. Our hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. All activities are no charge for Henrietta residents. The Monroe County Nutrition program (lunch) is available to all County residents over the age of 60 years. Reservations are required.

We publish a monthly newsletter that includes our calendar and lunch menu. It is available online at https://www.henrietta.org and on our Facebook page. There are also print versions available at the Senior Center front desk. It's a great opportunity to meet new friends!

Yes! A seniors information counselor from Eldersource is available twice a month. Please call the Center to make an appointment.

​​​​​​Transportation to and from the Center is available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Weekly shopping to a rotation of local grocery stores is also available.

Most of our programs and activities are offered free for Henrietta residents. Lunch donation is

$3.50.
