Middle Road Improvement Project - Public Outreach

Monroe County is planning to perform roadway improvements to Middle Road between Erie Station Road and Lehigh Station Road in the Town of Henrietta.

Ahead of the project, they are looking for input from the public on this project. Attached is a pamphlet describing the project and a comment form. Additional information regarding the project, including a brief presentation, can be found on the Monroe County DOT website, Project Updates page: http://www2.monroecounty.gov/dot-construction.

This project is necessary to improve the condition of the roadway pavement in this section of Middle Road. Since this section is lacking adequate paved shoulders, they are also looking to widen the shoulders to their standard 6 foot paved shoulder width. They will also look to improve surface drainage near the roadway.

Construction is scheduled for the spring of 2023 and should be completed in the fall of the same year. During construction, please expect some delays in traffic around work zones during work hours.

If you have any questions regarding the project, please contact Henry Herdzik at Monroe County Department of Transportation at 585-753-7729, hherdzik@monroecounty.gov, or by mailing back the comment form no later than June 10, 2022.
