Status Updates

January 22, 2020 - Special Use Permit Public Hearing

A meeting was held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 6:30 p.m., before the Henrietta Town Board to hear all persons with regards to the following Application for Special Use Permits:

Application Nos. 2019-030/031 - UR Medicine Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Center (The Marketplace) – 10 Miracle Mile Drive, in a Commercial B-1 Zoned District, portions of Tax Account Nos. 161.12-1-1.1/B, 161.12-1-1.1/C, and 161.12-1-1.11, or as more particularly described in plans on file in the Town Clerk’s Office.

  • 2019-030: to re-develop the former Sears building and adjacent Marketplace Mall property and parking lot for the University of Rochester Medicine Orthopaedics & Planned Performance Center.
  • 2019-031: to construct a seven story tower with a building height of +/- 134’ whereas Town Code only permits a height of 30’.

The public hearing was closed.

February 12, 2020 - Town Board Meeting

A meeting was held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., before the Henrietta Town Board where the applicant presented the following Special Use Permit Applications and residents were given an opportunity to speak:

Application Nos. 2019-030/031 - UR Medicine Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Center (The Marketplace) – 10 Miracle Mile Drive, in a Commercial B-1 Zoned District, portions of Tax Account Nos. 161.12-1-1.1/B, 161.12-1-1.1/C, and 161.12-1-1.11, or as more particularly described in plans on file in the Town Clerk’s Office.

APPROVED - SEQR was completed and the Special Use Permit applications were approved with conditions at the Town Board meeting by Resolutions, which are available to view in the files below.

March 10, 2020 - Planning Board Meeting

For final site plan approval of an ambulatory surgery center (Phase 1 - 344,000 S.F. with a potential project total of 480,000 S.F.) located at 10 Miracle Mile Drive in a Commercial B-1 Zoned District with a Mixed-Use Redevelopment Overlay District. Tax Account Nos. 161.12-1-1.1/B, 161.12-1-1.1./C, and 161.12-1-1.1.

December 7, 2020 - Town Board Workshop Meeting

The Town Board considered and approved issuance of a longer duration Building Permit to be valid for 36 months from the date of issuance.
