2024 Town and County Tax Collection

The tax warrant, for the Town of Henrietta portion of the Town and County collection of taxes, gives notice to begin collection effective December 29, 2023 and to end collection as of May 31, 2024.  Tax bills for the Town and County tax are being mailed to real property owners as required by the Real Property Tax Law Section 922.  If you are responsible for paying the Town and County tax and have not received your tax bill by January 4, 2024, please call (585) 359-7035 or email townclerk@henrietta.org and request a duplicate tax bill at no charge.

 

The terms of payment are as follows:

FULL PAYMENTS: If you choose to pay your taxes in full, the full payment must be made on or before February 12, 2023 (since the 10th falls on a Saturday) to avoid any interest.  After February 12th, interest accrues at the rate of 1-½% per month. 

INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS: The first installment is due by February 12, 2023 (since the 10th falls on a Saturday).  The second installment is due from February 13th through February 29th with 1-½% interest.  The third installment is due between March 1st and April 1st with 3% interest, and the fourth installment is due between April 2nd and April 30th with 4-½% interest. 

PARTIAL PAYMENTS: An initial payment of at least 25% of the taxes due plus any accrued interest can be be made during the tax collection period. Any payment made on or before February 12th (since the 10th falls on a Saturday) is interest-free; interest accrues at the rate of 1-1/2% per month.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: Checks are to be made payable to “Receiver of Taxes, Henrietta.” Payment may be mailed to P.O. Box 579, Henrietta, NY 14467; deposited in the drop box at Henrietta Town Hall, available 24 hours a day; made in person, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Henrietta Town Hall, 475 Calkins Road, Rochester, NY 14623; or made online at www.monroecounty.gov.

 

Note that if taxes have not been paid on or before May 31, 2023, the unpaid tax amount, plus interest, must be made payable to the Monroe County Treasury.
