Councilman Joseph D. Bellanca, Jr. lives in West Henrietta with his wife Angela and their two daughters. He is a Rush-Henrietta Central School graduate and has been a Social Studies teacher at Rush-Henrietta since 1998. Currently, he teaches 11th-grade United States History and Government and AP United States History. In addition, he has coached the Boys Varsity Tennis Team since 2002. He previously coached Varsity Teams at Rush-Henrietta in both Boys and Girls Volleyball.
Joe is an active member of St. Martin de Porres Parish, where he has served on the Pastoral Council.
