Town Board Workshops

Town Board Workshops are held at 4:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Lower Level Meeting Room on Monday prior to Town Board Meetings, unless otherwise advertised. In the event there is a holiday on Monday, the Workshop is typically held on the Tuesday prior to the Town Board Meeting. Please see the Town Board calendar or the attached meeting schedule for exact dates.

While the Town provides an ASL interpreter, when available, at the regularly scheduled Town Board meetings, we do not for Town Board Workshops or special meetings of the Town Board. If you plan to attend any Town Board meeting and need an ASL interpreter, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at (585) 359-7035 or townclerk@henrietta.org – requests made less than two business days prior to the meeting may result in us being unable to schedule an interpreter.

What happens at a Town Board Workshop?

Following a meeting with Department Heads and the Town Supervisor, the Town Clerk's Office prepares a draft Workshop Agenda that is uploaded to the Town website the Friday before a Town Board Meeting and sent to the Town Board for review; the Workshop Agenda is finalized prior to the meeting.

At the Workshop, the Town Supervisor, Town Board Members, and Department Heads are present for extended discussions on topics as requested by the Town Board. While the meeting is open to the public to view and listen, there is not an opportunity for public comment.

After each Town Board Workshop, minutes are prepared and sent to the Town Board for review. Upon approval of the Workshop Minutes by the Town Board at a subsequent meeting, these minutes are uploaded to the Town website.
