Art & Garden Party

We're happy to announce the fourth annual Tinker Homestead Art and Garden Party! It's time to start submitting your work! We would like to accept as many entries as possible, so please remember to submit before the deadline! We will be curating the displays throughout the Tinker Homestead Farm Museum and grounds. We will be inviting all artists to provide information for sales.

Here are some things to consider:

Eligibility

Submissions must follow these three principals:

  1. is the artist’s original work
  2. shows imagination and originality.
  3. is of professional quality.

Submission Process
  1. Email to naturecenter@henrietta.org three (3) photos that demonstrate clearly the style and quality of your work
  2. LABEL your photos LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME 1..2..3...
  3. Add a short description of your work, materials and technique. If selected, this will be displayed along with your piece.
  • Submissions are due by MAY 31. Anything later can not be guaranteed to be reviewed.
  • There are no admission fees for this show, it is exhibition only!
  • If you are submitting work in multiple categories, submit separate images and descriptions for each. You may exhibit work only in categories that have been reviewed and accepted.
Not Allowed
  • work made from commercial kits, patterns, stencils or molds 
  • buy and sell items 
  • personal care items 
  • edible items 
  • candles 
  • plants 
  • flowers (fresh, dried, silk)
  • beaded jewelry made solely by restringing commercially produced or purchased beads.
Selection Process

Submissions will be selected for display by a committee, during the months of April and May. All applicants will be informed of the decision by June 1 at the latest.

Display

The Tinker Homestead will be providing space and tables, gallery mounts, easels etc... for pieces chosen to be placed within the House, Barns, and Museum. If the artist has special requirements for display, then special arrangements may be made.
