Nominations for 2023 Henrietta Youth Hall of Fame

Youth Hall of Fame at Town Hall

The Youth Development Advisory Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Henrietta Youth Hall of Fame. Qualified nominees are high school seniors who have made meaningful contributions to their school or community, overcome significant obstacles in their life, or demonstrated remarkable personal growth. Nominations forms may be downloaded here. Completed applications should be received on or before Friday, January 20, 2023.

On Sunday, April 23, 2023 the Henrietta Youth Board will host the 47th annual Henrietta Youth Hall of Fame Awards. The Youth Hall of Fame Award acknowledges 26 Rush-Henrietta School District area high school seniors who have made meaningful contributions to their local or school community, have overcome significant obstacles or challenges in their life, or have demonstrated remarkable personal growth.

In addition to the awards banquet, the inductees will receive certificates from local dignitaries and have their picture hanging in the Henrietta Town Hall with a plaque dedicated to the 2023 recipients for one year.

The Henrietta Youth Board/Hall of Fame committee depends on receiving nominations from local community groups, organizations, schools and individuals in order to consider a variety of young people for induction into the Henrietta Youth Hall of Fame.

Each nomination packet should consist of personal letters of reference, a resume of accomplishments and/or community and volunteer involvement along with anything else that would support this candidate's nomination to the Hall of Fame selection committee. Nominees must reside in the Rush-Henrietta School District, but can attend high schools outside of the Rush-Henrietta School District. We ask that nominations and letters of reference come from non-family members. The objective of this award is to focus on the student that may be overlooked by traditional awards, however, they stand out in the way that they conduct themselves with their family, their peers and community/school organizations.

The Henrietta Youth Board/Hall of Fame committee will be screening all nominations the last week of January. Therefore, we ask your cooperation in submitting completed applications on or before Friday, January 20, 2023. Kathleen Moss in the College and Career Center will be collecting applications for the R-H Senior High School. Forms also can be submitted to the Henrietta Parks and Recreation Department at 605 Calkins Road/Rochester, NY 14623. For further information or questions regarding the nomination process, please call Anita Tichacek at the Henrietta Parks and Recreation Department at (585) 359-7051 or email at atichacek@henrietta.org.
